They have known each other since the age of 4, growing up in the same church. He tried to date her in high school, but she wasn’t quite ready yet. During college she decided she to give him a shot and it turned into the beginning of their love story that will continue on…for the rest of their lives:)
Our one hour photo shoot turned to 2 hours in what seemed like no time at all. We had so much fun walking around, talking and snapping pictures. I love engagment shoots because I get to know a couple and see what they are about before their big day. Jonathan and Alyssa are so easy to be around and just as nice as can be. Plus, its obvious they are in love:) These two made me forget my fingers and toes were numb because I was enjoying capturing the two of them together. I can’t wait for their wedding day this coming June!
They decided to return to the place he proposed. While it was last December when he popped the question, this time the weather was a little more unreliable. The dark clouds were rolling in as we pulled into the parking lot and the winds were starting to pick up. I’m not sure I’ve ever worked so fast in my life. From start to finish this session lasted 20 minutes. The leaves started falling from the trees toward the end though and it was beautiful. As we walked back up the bike trail Kim asked if we could take some pictures where Mike proposed…and then the lightening struck and the rain started pouring. At least we got some good shots and we didn’t get soaked. That is a win in my book!
What a lovely evening we had for engagement photos. I not only got to know Greg and Ashley and how they came to be the beautiful couple they are today, but they showed me some amazing parts of Cleveland I never knew existed.
It was an absolute gorgeous evening for engagment photos last Saturday. Spending time getting to know Molly and Charlie was a highlight of my week. They are two of the nicest people and they are so easy to be around. They even brought their sweet little pup, Hunter who was as cute as can be. I loved learning how Charlie came into the bank Molly used to work at to open an account and how she was the one to get him all set up. After many more frequent trips back to the bank and much flirting, Charlie finally asked Molly out. Then, while walking on the beach in Hilton Head last year, Charlie wrote his propasl in the sand while Molly was taking pictures of the sunrise. I just love hearing stories of how people met and fell in love and theirs is so sweet. I am really looking forward to their wedding in September.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending a little time shooting one of the sweetest couples. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched their interactions together. Lindsay knew just the things to say to make Mike laugh, and some of those real moments I witnessed are my favorite. They have been through a lot, but chose to hold on to hope. Their amazing attitude about life has brought them to this incredibly exciting time. They deserve all the celebration as they continue on this journey and become husband and wife this coming July. Can’t wait for the big day!
These two are such a fun couple and I enjoyed watching them interact during their shoot. Devon forgot his gloves for the outdoor session, but still helped pull the petals off the flowers and stick them in the snow in order to create their save the date shot. He never complained once and seemed to be absolutely loving his time with his future bride. And Katie seemed just as smitten with her man as they played in the snow. I do love capturing two people in love:)
We did an indoor and outdoor session, but I am only posting the outdoor shots today, so the couple can get a preview. As soon as I finish editing the indoor shots, I will post them next week.
