Capturing moments of sheer joy {the Johnson family}

Getting the perfect family shot with everyone looking at the camera (smiling) is fun, but my favorite thing in the world is to capture emotions.  I love to tell a story with my pictures when I can. Sometimes I never know what to expect when I meet younger children for the first time because I don’t know if they will be camera shy, in a good mood, independent, or just plain hate me.  I realized in this shoot that the cool thing about capturing family photos when your kids are young is that you can capture moments of sheer joy.  Younger kids love the simple things, like mom and dad, being thown in the air, a good tickle… These are definitely moments to treasure.

  1. Thank you. These pictures are of my sister’s daughter and I love them, too. The photographer did an excellent job. I can’t wait to show them to my friends.
